How to Set Up a Great Guest Bedroom
1. Select a Quality Mattress. First and foremost your guest needs a comfortable place to rest. If there's any one area to splurge a little, this is it! Pick a bed that is likely to please most guests, perhaps in-between firm and plush and test it out yourself before their stay. A cozy and snug place to rest will help them feel relaxed and have a pleasant stay in your home, as if it were their own.
2. Choose Cozy Threads! Another key element to a comfortable space, is quality bedding. Provide your guests with elegant sheets and plenty of pillows. Consider adding a throw blanket at the edge of the bed for a nice finishing touch, that will offer some extra warmth if needed. Cozy and inviting!
3. Create Space for Belongings. Having a little dresser will help bring the room to life and provide a few drawers to unpack belongings. If you don't have a full bedroom set for the guest room, that's perfectly okay, you can utilize the bedroom closet just as well. Leaving an empty closet with a few hangers ready for use, will provide easy access to store their clothing and suitcase. Perfect to help them truly settle in.
4. Decorate to Bring Life into the Space. Hang a few wall art pieces, place an accent item or vase on shelving or a nightstand. Just a couple of items to tie the room together will go a long way, and help it feel like a familiar and cozy space.
5. Add that Special Touch with Toiletries and Treats! If you want to go that extra mile, setup a little guest tray or basket to leave on the bed, with useful items for their stay. You can include slippers, lotion, washcloths and snacks. A little eye mask or face mask can add a touch of indulgence for your guest to enjoy in your home!
